On Oct. 2 we practiced another skill – how to ask the right questions to interviewees.
And we had an immediately class interviewing workshop.
The gentle guy from Cuba, Deny, was my partner.
In the start of living overseas, we two were both not very good at English.
So the process of interviewing with each other became very interesting.
I was especially appreciated his friendship since he talked a lot his happy family especially his lovely son, as well as lots of his working experiences.
I learnt much from him about the intense but orderly work in practice.
And, to my surprise, he gave me a poster of beautiful seaside view in La Havana as a gift.
It was really an impressive interview with him.
In the afternoon when we came back to newsroom to write this report, I found that when I had just written one line he had already finished two paragraphs.
That was the gap between professionals and outsiders.
